O man, O man. Wow, this is going to be bad. Hopefully he'll be cleared to play.

Bauman hopefully can play, he should be able to hold his own. Jimoh...maybe we'll be surprised. He might be Bailey's successor, lets give him a chance, though last week kind of scares me.

I thought Smootie was supposed to have put on some bulk this year....where's it at? I don't see it.

I love the guy's coverage skills, but his takling and block shedding is pathetic.

I hope that someday soon we get a physical corner with coverage skills...one that protects the edge and lays decent hits on RBs.....maybe even blitz once in a while

That said...I hope Smoot is allright and is back soon....we need him.

^^ Not to be sarcastic but y don't we throw in cooking and house keeping attributes too? CB's typcially aren't that big and these monster receivers coming out now Gardener, T.O etc. are huge. I comply that he needs to work on it a bit, but theres only so much you can ask of a CB. LOL He could be another Deion, though his mouth is close.

To be honest I believe our CB's are wrapping tackles better, and on that one TD the Falcons scored where Smoot was there, he got pushed from the back, but we all know the ref's never see penalties on us.

If we can keep Champ, and Smoot, and the rest of our D. WE WILL MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS NEXT YEAR!! All we need are some additions to the D line, and a nice TE.

I guess you're right Chris....I just played corner and feel like you should be able to tackle as well as cover. Champ is rounded, but Smoot needs to get a little tougher IMHO....we will miss him however...and I agree on the playoff prediction...I hope we can keep him and the rest of the d in place....we gotta find a pass rushing d-end to replace Bruce for sure

hell...I hope we can keep the offense in tact too for that matter

your also dead on with the officiating

By the way - Jacobs is reported to be out for the NYG game to add to our woes.

Officiating has gotten rough against the Skins lately... the last 4 or so years if I remember rightly...

I haven't been able to find anything further on Smootie....or Jacobs...what's the deal on him? All I keep seeing is he still has a tube down his throat.

Someone on here said that a bruised pancreas can be lethal - which makes sense. My Dad had pancreatitis in the late 70's and he almost died - mostly from the bile leaking into the system - it is pure poison to the rest of the body.

I suppose they want to make sure Jacobs doesn't get ruptured there

Me too - just not at risk to his life or long term health - I hate seeing the older players who gave it all for 100 bucks a game and are nearly crippled now...

Yeah but I think most of them would have done it for nothing. There was a lot more 'love of the game' back then.

So true. I can't imagine not playing if someone offered me a spot on a team.

Of course - I am not fast on my feet anymore ::Grin::
