Report: E.J. Biggers agrees to deal with Redskins
By Evan Hilbert | CBSSports.com
March 20, 2013 12:07 pm ET
The Washington Redskins and free-agent cornerback E.J. Biggers have agreed to a deal, according to multiple reports.
Biggers spent the first four years of his career in Tampa Bay, after the team drafted him in 2009. He was on injured reserve for the majority of his rookie season and debuted in '10. Biggers had 51 tackles and an interception last season with the Bucs.
Opinions vary in terms of how Biggers will be used by Washington, but his best asset is his speed, and the Redskins need corners. The team released veteran DeAngelo Hall a couple of weeks ago.
Biggers also has experience with the Washington coaching staff, as Redskins assistant Raheem Morris was Biggers' head coach in Tampa. |

| Biggers was a Top 20 corner per Pro Football Focus. Ran a 4.32 forty at his Pro Day. Maybe he can develop into a solid CB. He's only 25. |

Wonder what he could do as a KR/PR and depth CB (if not a starter)? |

That tidbit makes me feel much better about this. Reading his bio....
SECOND team All-MAC as a senior....that didn't really do it for me.
The 4.32 and Top 20 corner sounds much better! |

| Does anyone think we'll bring Hall back now or another veteran? Or are we gonna turn to the draft? |

I think it's possible, but probably a long shot. This year's draft has back end guys that should be there in rounds 2-4. Maybe if he's still unsigned well beyond the draft, and his value has gone way down. But, I think the team will likely move in another, less expensive direction. |
