It's the off-season and our main man is rehabbing a pretty brutal injury. Although we all hope he is a healthy start for game one, he may not be.

For the sake of this poll, suppose RGIII does not play until after the bye - say game #9.

Whom, from among the FAs listed, would you rather have backing up Kirk Cousins?

Reasons would be interesting to see.

Rex - knows the offense, the others don't. Rex at least has been an effective starter. Put simply, he sucks less.

My choice is none of the above, because I think we may go back to two QBs, but if I had to pick, it'd be the sexy one.

we have 3 QBs - if we keep 3, the 3rd QB will be Rex Grossman

LMAO, I was thinking the same thing.

It's pointless to do anything with the current QB situation. Our offensiveline benefits from the ability of our QB's ability to complete passes. Bringing in a QB who CANNOT pass the ball would completely destroy the offense.

And let's stop discrediting Rex's contribution to this team. I give him all the credit in the world for being a valuable mentor/friend/assistant to both Cousins and RGIII. He's accepted his role and did an admirable job. I'm happy he's here.

Just for the record - I've teased Rex for throwing to open linebackers and such and we all know his limitations but I have generally been a supporter.

I do not think he is under contract right now and I believe his vet status guarantees him right around $1 M.

I think we only have one healthy QB under contract right now.

None of the above. I'd rather have a late round draft pick than any of them.

Definitely Sexy Rexy.

I know Rex isn't the answer, but he's the best 3rd string QB in the league.

Remember what it was like when he was last the starting QB..?

1. The OL was in bits, total mess, three starters down.

2. The WRs were a poor set. Moss was out for most of the season and Gaffney was the stand-out. Armstrong was our deep threat!

3. He had no running game for half the season. Eventually Helu and Royster stepped up for the last few weeks but in the middle after the injury to Hightower we had Torain as starter. They knew we were going to pass it before we did!

4. We were almost always chasing the game.

Hell, even RGIII would struggle in that mess!

If he was to step in now after an injury to Capt Kirk things would be a little different. Firstly, the team would be confident after a winning season and being division champs, which makes a massive difference. And the OL, WRs and running game is vastly improved.

I believe this would reduce the number of picks he throws by about 75%.

To about 3 a game. Laughing

No, seriously, we're lucky to have him as our #3 QB.

Stick with Rex. He might be the best 3rd string quarterback in the league.

So somebody is just gonna vote Jason Campbell, then not claim it?? LOL

BTW - Jason probably shouldn't have even made this poll. This regime got rid of him. May as well add Mark Brunnell
