Injured players....
Is there a chance that any of our guys out for the season will be able to make it back for any of the playoff games?

Unfortuenately, done for the season means exactly that.
It includes post-season play.
None of our current players were taken off prior to week 6 which would have made them eligible for return after week 8. Doing so would have required that player consume a roster spot for the remainder of the season. This is the new rule under the current CBA as I understand it.
Maybe one of you contract gurus can explain it better, this is just my loose interpretation.
Now, maybe had the staff believed we had a legit post-season shot in week 6, they would have brought someone back. BUUUUTTTTT, our staff started "evaluating for next year", maybe they didnt want to consume a roster spot with a known commodity and deny a young player an opportunity to make next years team.

Beginning this season, each team was able to designate ONE player on IR for return.Riggins_Fan wrote:Is it possible for a player to come off of IR during the post season?
The Redskins used that on Nick Sundberg...
Good thing, too... because the team had a perfect record when he was in the game!
All hail the worlds most valuable long snapper!

How much of a difference would it make with Cedric Griffin back? Don't know too much about him unfortunately.
