Sorry if there is already a thread on this. I didn't see one in the list. I was taking a look at the schedule and trying to determine reasonable expectations for this season based on the schedule. Here is what I came up with. I am putting down a split of the division games, though I think we can go 4-2 by sweeping the Pukes and splitting with the Gnats and Smeagles.
1 at New Orleans L (If Brees had not re-signed, we win this one)
2 at St. Louis W
3 Cincinnati W
4 at Tampa Bay W
5 Atlanta L
6 Minnesota W
7 at NY Giants L
8 at Pittsburgh L
9 Carolina W
11 Philadelphia W
12 at Dallas L
13 NY Giants W
14 Baltimore L
15 at Cleveland W
16 at Philadelphia L
17 Dallas W
I think 9-7 is a very likely scenario. If we sweep the Pukes, we go 10-6 and take the NFC East. I will be disappointed if we do worse than 8-8, and think Shannahan goes to the house if we lose more than 9 games. |

| I'd be pretty happy to get 7-9 out of a rookie QB. |

I kinda think Pittsburgh is headed for a down/middle of the road year. They've got an old defense. Might be a game we could surprise and win.
There are some winnable games in that first six. Would be awesome to come out of that stretch at 4-2 like you're predicting. I'd love to steal one from the Saints, but really worried about our secondary vs. Brees. |

| I think, honestly, it could range from 6-10 to 10-6. |

8-8 would be good, I think. I said that last year, though.
With a rebuilding team like this, I'm still looking mostly for progress on the field. We looked awful right around the middle of last year and impressive toward the end. It looked to me like we were an accurate QB away from winning several games.
So, 8-8 is my best guess. I think "our" "accomplishment" this year will be not finishing last in the always-tough NFC East. I actually think Dallas is primed to get knocked back a few notches . . . |

I agree with your agreeing about Pittsburgh and further agree with your point about Carolina and Cincy. |

My honest opinion, 5-11 or worse.
We are still not a good football team. Lots of questions concerning depth all over the place. Our secondary is pathetic (laughable), we have ignored out O-line for damn near a decade and there is a rook back there slingin the ball around. This year could be rough, but it needed to happen, a complete overhaul from an old system stained by ignorance and horrid management.
I love the new direction of this team and think we are a few years away from a consistent playoff team. We are younger and faster and that is very promising. RG3 brings the attitude you want and London will help control a very iffy defense. |

I'll go 11-5 or better to balance you out. |

If I am betting I would take the over for sure. In fact, I might just do that. |

So many things factor into it, like injuries to our team and the other team.
But, I expect our general realistic record to land somewhere between
8-8 and 10-6
I don't think this is a 6-10 team like last year's squad. And, I think RG3 will be good for at least 2 additional wins. If things really shake out well, we could win the NFC East at 10-6.
Right now, I just want to beat the Saints though. |

8 at Pittsburgh L
9 Carolina W
11 Philadelphia W
12 at Dallas W
13 NY Giants W

What the hell, 11-5. Only because I can't pick us to ever lose versus the Cowboys. And, I'll give us the repeat versus the Giants.
