HaiL, |
1: They play the Saints.
2: The only move the Cowboys could have made that would have concerned me regarding their preparation for Griffin would have been Michael Barron. Oops...
3: The Beagles will have improved line play. It won't help. |
+1
The Saints have no coach, by game one the coach's replacement will be replaced, they are still facing player suspensions
TtiT used our pick on a CB
I thought the dream team made a lot of great offseason moves...... then I woke up |

| Regardless... I suddenly feel better about what we will do if Griffin gets hurt... Wow... Bonus... if he shows something when he gets his chances, he becomes a commodity... |

You mean because quality quarterbacks grow on trees and we can pick one up any time we like? You win by drafting talent, not for position. A quality guy was there, we don't have that much depth at QB that keeping him is an issue, we grabbed him. It was the right thing to do. |

We still have defensive needs at linebacker and in the secondary. At least four respected cornerback prospects were still on the board when we picked Cousins.......Coastal Carolina’s Josh Norman, Georgia’s Brandon Boykin, Nebraska’s Alfonzo Dennard and Iowa State’s Leonard Johnson. Alabama safety DeQuan Menzie was also still available.
We need defensive help but our priorities are somewhere else. |

Did you not follow free agency? We have an abundance of dbs added oline help and grabbed a good qb to battle rexy. If he looks good in preseason we have trade bait for next years draft or other players in rex or clausin. Beet case we trade rex for a fourth rounder and move on w young talent.
Rgiii is the guy right now. Should he get hurt you would rather the turn over machine? Think long and hard.
Id bet he wasn't expected to be around in the fourth but took best player available/ best value since he was.
Once again a great reason why fans aren't in the fo clalling the shots. |

QB's a pretty good priority. We had 21 starting quarterbacks in the last 19 years. Explain to me again why we only need one quarterback on the roster who doesn't suck. |

because...........
you had 21 qbs NOT because the great ones kept getting hurt. you had 21 quarterbacks because you had 21 GARBAGE quarterbacks. (outside of 1 or 2).
so your favorite little team went out to solve your qb dilemma once and for all by using THREE first round draft picks and one HiGH second round pick on a guy who your head coach is staking his reputation on (having done the whole reputation staking thing on John beck and Donovan mcnabb in his first two years in dc.)
that , along with the fact that the redskins roster is indeed ne of the worst in the sport, is why.
that's what Christmas means, Charlie brown. |

Please stop posting. Clearly you have no idea what you are posting about, and it's actually a waste of time to sit and read your garbage. Each player you mention was available not only at 109 when we traded down, but also all available at 119 when we actually picked. The team didn't feel like there was value at that spot, and then did actually pick a LB at 119.
In fact all but one was available to us at pick 141... |

Are you kidding? We have enough line backers to play a 3-8 for God's sake, and almost as many CBs.
What we didn't have is an insurance policy for RG3, and Cousins was a steal in the 4th round. This is a kid that might actually be able to come in and play in the second half of the season if the need arose ... he's a solid 4th round pick!
Up to this point, I've had mixed feelings about the Shanaclan ... but this off season, in my opinion, has been a screaming success, and the team looks way better than it has in a long time.
All that remains is for Kyle to tailor this offense around RG3's skills, and not overwhelm him .... all of the pieces are in place. |
