The real reason the Browns might win is because they want Claibourne not Blackmon. They will have a shot at him at 4, but probably not at 6. That's where the Skins are at a disadvantage. Then again, the Skins may be more likely to make a big play for RGIII than the Browns. The Browns are a little further behind IMO.

say what Hmm

The Browns are picking 4th - the only thing they need to decide is do they want to give up what it will take to make a trade with the Rams for the 2 pick

we are not interested in trading up to 4 - IF we trade it will be with the Rams

AND - you're NOT paying attention - the ONLY franchise that can offer more to the Rams is the Browns .... but they will not do that .... we will

Do the Browns want RG3 that badly? What about their current QB?

If I were the Browns. I would sign Mike Wallace; giving up their second first round pick for him. This helps their team, hurts a division rival, and still leaves them in the catbird seat for RG3.

Browns NOT willing to give up pick #22

Quote:
Report: Browns unwilling to trade No. 22 pick League sources tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the Redskins continue "to rate as the frontrunner" to acquire the Rams' No. 2 pick, and that the Browns are currently "unwilling" to part with their No. 22 pick.
The Redskins are reportedly willing to trade both their 2012 and 2013 first-round picks, but don't want to part with their 2012 second-rounder, which "isn’t acceptable to the Rams." The Dolphins reportedly "aren't eager to do business with the Rams" after being spurned by coach Jeff Fisher. There's also "no chance" of a trade with the Seahawks because the Rams don't want to face Baylor's Robert Griffin III in the division. If the Browns hold fast on not dealing their second first-round pick — their trump card on the rest of the league in any potential trade — it's worth questioning if they were ever serious about moving up to select RGIII.

I'm glad to hear the Skins aren't throwing the big offer out on the table from the get-go. Some of the hysteria is going to fade as we get a little farther from the combine. The media is talking about the Saints now, instead of how great RGIII is. Free agency is going to remove some of the competition.

Yup... Shanahan and Allen seem to have their heads on right. If they can't get this done, it will be because the Rams demanded too much.

The hype of RGIII will go up even more if he performs well at his pro day.

This kid is smart. He will have every move drilled into his head, choreographed. Of COURSE he will perform well at his pro day. Griffin understands what he is about, and will put on a very impressive show. He want's to be #1.
