I hope we come out with our foot on the gas and try to put it away early, I can't remember a playoff game when I sat back and enjoyed a victory beer in the second period. I wish Green would have kept his mouth shut, no reason to give the Canadians anything. On the hand, the Habs are awful at 5-5 hockey, if the Caps can stay out of the box we should walk all over them. Though, this is the Washington Capitals we are talking about, so who knows.

yea I didn't like him giving them any juice either. i feel that way about any sport too. i like his enthusiasm though but we need that on the ice.. at best talk da smack with your teammates.
oh, did you guys here the Canadian fans doing the soccer thing.. Oleeee oleee or whatever it is?? man that was awesome, never seen/heard that anywhere but soccer before. Canadian's are stupid for hockey like we are football huh? |

Now that was a great effort by everyone.. Semin stepped up big time last night and I love how our defense pitched in to help Varly. Hmmm.. I wonder if he started instead of Theo for the first game would it have been different?  |

I woke up this morning and said to the wife.. Babez, today is gonna be a great day. Nats have improved (so far), my boys didn't mess up the draft, and tonight the Caps control their first round destiny. She said "shutup and lemme sleep"..  I don't have any Caps jerseys (yet) but I'm rocking my Gary Clark just to keep it local. Tonight I hope our guys can put these "Habs" to rest once and for all. Smack um upside their heads and say "how dare you think you can beat the juggernaut known as the Caps".. see, that's the same damn attitude that will cause a jinx..

I read the Had Enough part and started laughing.. good one man..lol.
I know man, I just get to thinking like they are the best team in the regular season and they do this kind of crap.. they always come back and stuff.. man I do need to tone it down do'h. I just really wanted it to be over so they can rest up. Think the Habs found a weakness for Varly or it hasn't reached that point yet? Defense needs to step up man, goalies can't do it by themselves all the time. *sigh*.. Monday? That's the next one? |

Habs hit Varly early, but he held up his end. Montreal did exactly what they needed to do to win. They took it to the Caps and they took away the middle.
Washington has two days to figure out a game plan and take the series away from Montreal in front of their home audience. |
