|
|
As I did last year, I am going to run an unofficial Hognostication playoffs this year. Hoss is in no danger of losing his title; this is strictly for bragging rights only.
I have broken up the top 12 Hognosticators (this worked out nicely; no tiebreakers) into two Conferences:
The HHC (Hogs Hognsoticating Conference)
1. HOSS
2. funbunch
3. joebagadonuts
4. Justice HOG
5. TincoSkin
6. Mursilis
and the DHC (Dirtbags Hognsoticating Conference)
1. airhog
2. JSPB22
3. Redskin in Canada
4. JPM36
5. Dangerfield
6. EA7649
Just like the real thing, seeds 1 and 2 from each conference have a bye the first weekend, while 6 travels to 3, and 5 plays at 4.
Home field advantage is given by the visiting player posting their picks prior to the home player.
Visitors: Please get your picks in by Wednesday night. (Thursday night for this week's picks.)
Picks should not only include the winner of each game, but also the point totals for that game. In the event of a tie on wins, the closest point total in all games that week is the winner. Further ties will be handled with a PM game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
I'm sorry for the late start, but I was out of town, without internet access.
So, without further ado, I give you Week 1 of the march to HB-II.
Chiefs at Colts
Cowpies at Seahawks
Jets at Patriots
G-strings at E-gals (it's too bad that one of these teams is going to advance)
5th an 6th seeds get your picks in as soon as possible.
Have fun, and happy Hognosticating! |

Hmmmm....funbunch and I have the same regular season record, and yet he gets the number two seed and a first week bye because his 'f' comes before my 'j' in the alphabet. Therefore, I officially rename myself 'aajoebagadonuts'.
(Just kidding, JSPB, I'm happy to be included, and try to defend my title. They say it's almost impossible to repeat, so when I do, it'll be that much sweeter that I did it without getting a week off.) |

Of course, I'll have a good view of the field this year. |

Not alphabetical. He got the better seed based on the tiebreaker. (He also beat me out of the #3 spot on the season, for the same reason. ) |

I know funbunch, he's a good friend of mine, you should demand that the seeding go from tallest to shortest |

So it comes down to the Chiefs/Colts, eh, JBD? Personally, I favor the Colts, but I'm thinking the Chiefs will run right through 'em. Best of luck to ya! |

Thank god for a bye week. I'm pretty banged up. I will wait for my opponent next week with baited breath. |
