Hi skins fans, it's that GK guy from pantherfreaks.com, the Carolina Panthers F2F site.
I thought I would drop in and give you guys a quick update on the happenings here in the Carolinas.

We have now signed all of our draft picks, with only Nelson(2nd round) missing 1 day of camp.
DeShaun Foster has returned to practice. You guys remember him dont you? In his first NFL action he scampered 70 yards for a TD...against the Redskins. Very Happy
He hasn't begun full workouts, but I'm expecting to see that by the 3rd week of camp.(maybe before)
We signed Terrence Wilkins-WR to a one year deal. Wilkins comes to us after being released by the Rams on July 22nd. He's an explosive return man with decent hands as a wide out. He should provide us with a great replacement for Dyson, and releave Steve Smith from part of his return duties. He'll team up with Michael Bates on kickoff returns.
All pro DT Kris Jenkins is working on a long term contract that will keep our defensive line together through at least 2005.
Camp began Saturday morning at 8:50am with a full pads practice. Coach Fox said things went well and according to planned.
Everyone here in the Carolinas are getting excited. Especially after ESPN ranked the Panthers front 4 as the #1 Defensive line in the NFL, followed by Tampa, Phily, and Miami.

Feel free to join in on the conversation on our msg board, and I look forward to talking about our upcoming preseason game with you all soon!

How does Stephen Davis look in Carolina colors? That will take some adjusting. You guys have quite a team down there. I for one expect you guys to make some serious noise in the NFC this season. Good luck. I think that with Davis getting the ball stuck in his gut and with the way that Delhomme can throw, you guys definately should be considered playoff contenders.

wingman is a nut, i mean the panthers are a group of under achievers. aside from julious peppers, i see no talent on you team worth uttering the word playoff.
But here are some words you should commit to memory.
coachless

james- A nut? After reading your post, you should take some of your own advise and commit a few words to your memory..

tasteless
classless
tactless

We like to keep an open mind in here. Your opinion, while it is yours, isnt a fair one. Don't act like a Cowboy or an Eagle fan and rail other teams before the season even starts. Be friendly to our guests, bro.

I'm sorry if I offened any one. Just offering a little constructive criticism. Every team has it's flaws. Yours is being in a division with Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orlenes.
Oh and Mr. wingman I am a skins fan born and raised in wash. d.c. (if you can't tell by my spelling) I'm not friendly to anyone except skins fans between the months of aug.- jan.

Rule #5

Quote:
5. Agree to disagree. Everyone's opinion counts, is valued, and should be respected. If you can't respect someone's point of view -- ignore it! Personally attacking another poster by name-calling will not be tolerated. You may call someone's comments "stupid" without calling the person who made the post "stupid". Take any negative personal stuff to a private message or e-mail.

Just clarifying the rules here. Friendly banter is most excellent and I, for one, encourage it. Let's just stay free from personal attacks (which I haven't yet seen) and everything will be cool.

Unless, of course, you're an Eagles fans. All Eagles fans must first pass throw a metal detector before posting on this site! Shame on you

...just tryin' to keep the streets safe for the rest of us!! Dancing

Everyone is okay here... just wanted to clarify a few things... no name calling... no personal attacks... let's all just try to be civil and get along Smile

There won't be any attacking other fans just because they aren't Redskin fans. I'm the Redskins representative to F2FA, the Fan 2 Fan Alliance... there will be opposition's members in here EVERY week during the season. We will treat them with respect. I will open a Talking Smack forum if you like and it can all go in there, but in here, we'll be civil.

'Wingman is a nut' is name calling.
Calling james tasteless, classless and tactless is a personal attack.
Both parties are violating the rules.

Honestly guys... I want conversations here to be free and uncensored... but I won't put up with senseless drivel. The thread could have existed without it.

Not true at all. It's for talking about the Redskins. Like I said, we'll open a Talking Smack forum and we can take all of our battles there... and I have no problem at all with that. I look forward to brutalizing a Cowboys fan or two myself.

Does that sound cool with you guys?

I posted a talking smack forum.

From now on, if threads get a little heated... we'll just move them to that forum. That way, I'm not big brother but we can keep this forum relatively civil.

I'm glad you all have that view of our team! Keep it up! That's what we want from you guys... and I hope your players feel the same way you do.

See, we can't talk smack to the Skins. We haven't beaten you - although you were given a gift when Seifert for some reason pulled Biakabutuka in the second half when we were smoking you a few years back, and in 2001 we had you beat until Arrington intercepted a Weinke screen and took it to the house to tie, and you got a FG to win it in OT...

We've been close, but not closed the deal -

I don't expect either team to show their true colors in this preseason game because we play in the regular season, and really it doesn't mean much who wins this preseason game... but rest assured we'll be back.

I don't blame you for not knowing or caring about the Panthers. No one outside of Charlotte cares about the Panthers - with good reason as of late, but to say this team is talentless is crazy... but don't take my word for it - you'll find out when we steamroll your @$$es in week 11.
