Trade Healthy Knee for Big Finsh/NFC East Title?
Suppose putting Griff on IR after the Raven game would have meant an 8-8 finish with no playoffs and an RGIII at 100% right now.
The question is this: Would you trade our big finish for a healthy knee?
Not trying to incite any flames. Not trying to asses blame. Just wondering where the community stands.

i think he had a problem left from the first acl, so this could have possibly been a blessing in disguise. at the time of course, knowing what we know now. I would have sat him and went in and made sure the knee was good back then...

Give me the healthy knee choice as long as that choice INCLUDES the Dr Andrews knee 'building' operation
now that we know the operation in 2009 was NOT as good as it could have been, we (RG3 and the franchise) are VERY fortunate to have had the opportunity to 'address' this and make the knee 'stronger'
I think that we're VERY fortunate that the knee is not going to be an issue going forward
I think they should have taken RG3 out in the early part of the Seahawks game - he was OBVIOUSLY not 100%
BUT
I'm really glad that Dr Andrews went in and did the operation to make that knee 'better' than it was

Nobody really expects the Redskins to do well - 8 wins is considered a winning season for Dan Snyder's Redskins
Redskins should fire Bruce Allen & try a different way of managing this franchise
Thankfully, Kirk Cousins is no longer the QB

Hindsight being 20-20... I find this a specious query...

Who was it that said hindsight is 50-50? I remember.

I see we have a vote for the strong finish. It's not my view but the position can be defended. It'd be interesting to read that defense.

This is what it comes down to after being gone for a week?
Hindsight??
What a rediculous theory that can be. There is no hindsight coulda shoulda. He coulda NOT twisted the F out of his healing knee vs the seapigeons on the second td drive, smoked them, healed a little more, won the superbowl, then had it repaired after the MVP speech and still be the badass he's gonna be.
Resting him vs cle was smart.. him being 2-0 vs the pukes is an awesome highlight to the season. Being the NFC east champs is a thrill we've not had in a long time., and how would we have known if his knee was still hurt? Didn't he drop something like 79 yards vs Dallas? Playing it safe even! He looked stellar on the first two drives vs the birds too.
To say we should've put him on ir after Baltimore is just not right imo. Pull him 2nd half vs sea? Absolutely.
The fact he may be better off then before, and he won the conference championship, is icing on the cake to sweeping the pukes, sending them and maras boys home early, and going 10-6.
Displaying his heart, passion, drive, and will to carry this team is all but inspiring. Coupled with his recovery, this team should be lifted and in debt to rgiii. The motivation to play for their captain will be at an all time high, and we shouldbe beasts next year.
Can't change the past, and the positves lookt to be out weighing the negative...

I still believe the injuries he had at the end of the season occured right there in that play against the Ravens. My eyes tell me no way was that just a sprain.
We may never know what happened behind the scenes. Did doc say it was better to reconstruct a complete tear rather than repair a partial?
No matter what, I believe RG3 was having surgery this off season after that hit. I need surgery just watching it. It was'nt a healthy knee after that and the fact that we finished 10-6 was a testament to the rest of the team. I dont think benching him the rest of the year changed what was going to happen with Roberts knee one way or the other.

I wouldn't change it because we'd have to endure an offseason of whining and crying. That I cannot take.
