Canada 8, Norway 0
The Canadian mens hockey team opened the Olympics with an impresive 8-0 win over the Norwegians.
Jarome Iginla led the way with a hat-trick, but 17 Canadian players registered at least one point.
It was the most goals by a Canadian hockey team since they started allowing NHL players in the Olympics.
It's hard to believe, but Pal Grotnes was just stellar in net for Norway, who kept it close for the first period-plus. Team Norway pulled their goalie after the fourth goal but not due to poor play, but likely to prevent shellshock. He stood on his head for forty minutes.
Canada plays Switzerland on Thursday, while Team USA will face the Norwegians.
Ovi and Team Russia are still to come tonight with a seemingly ridiculous 9pm PT start against Team Latvia.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
