The Skins cut Scott Cloman and Richmond Flowers today. The Skins left open the possibility of briging Cloman back to the team on the practice squad but they plan on having Patrick Woodcock on the practice squad.

Patrick must have been good on S.T's because as far as receiving I don't remeber anything too spectacular.

I kind of like Cloman, I thought they were going to keep him.

Johnson had some good catches Saturday. I really like Cloman, but I guess Woodcock had a few good catches this preseason. I think Spurrier kept him b/c he's more of a speed receiver and Cloman is more of a possession receiver.

Well hopefully he can run and catch because speed is nothing if you can't catch the ball. I think he's using these speed receivers more so as decoys, to get man to man on the key receivers. U put Johnson, Coles, Gardener, Russel, Taylor, and McCants out there, the opposing team is going to have trouble with ATLEAST one of those receivers.

Guarenteed, Spurrier wouldn't have drafted Rod Gardner in the 2001 Draft. He would've taken Santana Moss (who I went nuts for after we didn't draft him!).

No we need Gardener, and I think Spurrier would have considered Garnder. I believe this because he has kept McCants who is in the same body mold as Gardener. U need a big physical receiver who can out jump a CB and snag balls that would usually be too high etc.

He probably wouldn't have drafted McCants either. He would've tried to keep some of the big receivers from the year before.

Wow, interesting. I wonder whether Woodcock is already slated for the practice squad or whether he has a chance of bumping McCants?

Also, I sorta thought Brad Badell played pretty well. I wonder how he will fare next week.

I thought Bedell has struggled throughout the preseason. Darnerien McCants WILL NOT be bumped! Mark my words. I always say this. My mom and I talked to his dad and his dad said the Eagles and Giants were interested in him when he came out of college. It would be a mistake to let him go. Again, I GUARANTEE, he won't go anywhere.

McCants played well last year so I agree that he isn't going anywhere. I like the tough catches he made in games that counted so I totally expect him to stay. Cloman and Flowers didn't shine on ST so that must've sealed their fate.

Either way the receivers on our roster after the final cut are still going to be scary.
