Spurrier losing control of team
Washington Times: "Washington Redskins coach Steve Spurrier is losing control of his team in his second season in the National Football League, raising the odds that he will depart the franchise at the season's end."

Criticism of coach could be sign mutiny near
San Jose Mercury News columnist Ann Killion: "The Raiders' morale is declining daily, maybe even hourly. Monday, Bill Callahan's credibility was so low that even the veteran leaders were mocking him."

With speculation rampant, Reeves soldiers on
Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Terence Moore: "The rumors mean nothing to Dan Reeves. As far as he knows, he'll remain the Falcons' head coach for the foreseeable future. That's opposed to Dennis Green, Nick Saban, Deion Sanders, J.Lo, all of the Simpsons or anybody else that this proud man hints is just a figment of the public's imagination."
