Did 49ers offer Owens to Redskins?
49ers GM Terry Donahue has denied rumors that he called the Redskins to see if they were interested in dealing for Terrell Owens. The Contra Costa Times' Cam Inman reports that the rumored deal would have seen the 49ers ship Owens to the Redskins for Rod Gardner and two draft picks.

Spurrier may bail out on hapless Redskins
Rumor had it that Steve Spurrier wanted to quit as coach of the Redskins before the season had even started. Now that the Redskins are struggling, the Washington Times reports that Spurrier could be headed out the door.

Fassel on the clock
New York Daily News columnist Gary Myers writes that the "Fassel Watch has started". If the Giants' season continues to go south, Myers thinks that the Giants should can Fassel.

Will Lions axe Millen?
Detroit News columnist Rob Parker thinks that Lions President Matt Millen should pay the price for the team's horrible record over the last two seasons. Parker suggests that the Lions fire Millen if he fails to get the team back on track before season's end.

Eagles mulled benching McNabb
Is Andy Reid any closer to making Donovan McNabb take a seat on the bench? Philadelphia Daily News columnist Rich Hofmann writes that Reid has admitted that he considered benching McNabb during halftime of yesterday's win over the Giants.
