PLANO, Texas (Nov. 27, 2005) -- Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched his vehicle during a traffic stop, Plano police said.
Irvin, a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for speeding in Irving after being pulled over Nov. 25 for speeding in Plano, the Plano Police Department said. Police spokesman Mike Johnson said he didn't know what kind of paraphernalia was found.
Irvin paid a fine on the speeding ticket and posted bond on the drug paraphernalia possession charge. He was released about an hour after he was pulled over.
Irvin, a member of three Super Bowl championship teams with the Cowboys, retired in July 2000 and works as a studio analyst for ESPN.
An ESPN spokesman had no immediate comment.
In 1996, Irvin pleaded no contest to felony cocaine possession in exchange for four years of deferred probation, a $10,000 fine and dismissal of misdemeanor marijuana possession charges.
Irvin holds Cowboys records for catches (750), receiving yards (11,904) and 100-yard games (47), including a team-record seven in a row in 1991.
some people just never learn...does anyone know if he was on Sunday NFL Countdown today, i didn't get a chance to watch it.

Michael Irvin is caught

Michael Irvin was caught with drugs! I wonder what ESPN will do about this situation when it's all said and done? I personally think ESPN may get fire him and get an ex nfl player or coach to be their analyst.

I'd like to see Monk but that is not going to happen! He's got too much class!
Nobody really expects the Redskins to do well - 8 wins is considered a winning season for Dan Snyder's Redskins
Redskins should fire Bruce Allen & try a different way of managing this franchise
Thankfully, Kirk Cousins is no longer the QB

Art does not have a big-mouth loud enough to act like a clown on the booth. That's what TV wants these days, Isn't it?

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I think they just don't want to have to deal with Jesse Jackson, if Mike gets fired.

That would be an injustice.

Back and better than ever!
