Cleveland Browns are acting like

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Redskin relevance.

there's reason for optimism in looking at the Browns under John Dorsey's guidance - whether that be this season or next

we all hope that we can find a way to get to 8 wins ... just like always
Hoping that Dan Snyder will make sweeping changes is probably not realistic - shame that ...
we're looking at a couple of years to get better here - time to rebuild ... big time

I'm thinking they win 4 games this upcoming season. That would be a huge upgrade. That's where I'm setting the bar for the 2018 season. 2019 season I feel that 8 wins might be possible.

1st round of the Draft.
Mayfield from OU as potential Franchise QB. Slight Reach. But, He was a top 5 player in my opinion.
Ward from Ohio State was a great pick.

Day 2 of the draft. Cleveland made some really good picks. Well time shall tell if they are good picks or not. But, right now Cleveland's draft is either a winner, or typical Browns drafts. A big fat bust.

Only time will tell - it will be obvious soon that basing opinions on what the Browns did in the past is a mistake - the decisions this franchise is making now is not relevant to what happened in the past - this is a completely different group of people making decisions here
Hoping that Dan Snyder will make sweeping changes is probably not realistic - shame that ...

Not disagreeing with you. But, I feel that I wanna wait and see. I'm willing to wait til week 4 before I look at them, and agree 100% that progress is being made. I do like their draft. So Far.

Well the Browns are gonna be Hard Knox this year. Not sure what this says about them moving up, and improving. But, My opinion is still out.

Cleveland Browns are acting like a franchise that clearly demonstrates what can happen when the owner lets the FO manage things

The Redskins might get better next season ... maybe - the Browns are already a lot better

I'm rooting for the Browns every game. We had "Off the floor in '64"...for young people, that was 1964, and the Nats, managed by Gil Hodges, improved. The Browns have been more hopeless than the first years of the Expansion Senators.

Cleveland is showing how quickly you can turn things around when you have the right people managing things

having a lot of top picks on your roster does not guarantee success on the field - having a good plan and the right staff is just as important

Believe it or not, Baker Mayfield and the Browns are somehow chasing a playoff berth

By Mark Maske
December 16 at 1:35 AM

It would have been plenty for the Cleveland Browns to have reached respectable status this season. They are, after all, the Browns, who have stumbled and bumbled their way through so much of their franchise history and who took the term laughingstock to new depths by posting a combined record of 1-31 over the previous two seasons.

But all of that was before Baker Mayfield arrived, and all Mayfield has changed for the Browns is everything. It is mid-December and these Browns — Mayfield’s Browns — are talking about playoff possibilities, not jockeying for the top overall pick in the NFL draft. These Browns have zoomed past respectable and are honest-to-goodness postseason contenders who will be playing a meaningful Week 16 game, thanks to Saturday night’s 17-16 triumph in Denver.

“We’re resilient right now,” Mayfield told the NFL Network after the game. “We’ve got a lot of confidence. Yeah, absolutely, it was not our best game whatsoever. It started with myself. We didn’t do everything right at all, a couple turnovers. We’ve just got to take care of the ball when we’re on the road. But the most important thing is finding a way to win, scrapping it out all the way until the clock hits zero.”

That’s exactly what the Browns did, thwarting the Broncos’ final drive toward a possible game-winning field goal attempt on a fourth-down sack by safety Jabrill Peppers. That ended a game that featured mistakes by both quarterbacks and questionable late-game tactics by both coaches.

The Browns weren’t all that concerned about aesthetics, however. They improved to 6-7-1. They’re 4-2 since firing Hue Jackson as their coach and promoting Gregg Williams from defensive coordinator to interim head coach, and reaching the playoffs is not out of the question.
